How do you create clean, renewable energy while also preserving a natural resource? India is doing just that with a pilot project installing solar panels across a potential 19,000 km stretch of the Narmada canals. This project, known as the “Canal Solar Power Project” is installing the panels directly on top of the canal. The panels will provide energy from capturing sunlight, but will also provide cover to a sun-scorched canal and reduce water evaporation, thus conserving water.
Innovative Project Management, don’t you think?
